Living In The Holy Cross Area
There is no official neigbourhood in Cornwall known as Holy Cross – however, it is a term commonly associated with the streets in and around Holy Cross Boulevard in Cornwall’s East end – north of Second Street. For the sake of this website, we include all properties from Lynwood Drive to Glenview Heights.
This area of town is also very family-friendly and features primarily single family homes, mature trees throughout the properties and curving roads with sidewalks. Many of the homes in this area were built in the 1970s and 1980s with a few new developments including Dean Drive (Pictured above)
There is also a good mix of both French and English speaking families in this area, as is evidenced by the 2 French primary schools (Catholic and Public) as well as an English Public primary and secondary school.
There are mature trees, large park spaces and forests that surround most of the outskirts of this area, giving the region less of an urban feel than some newer subdivisions.
Curving roads, mature trees, sidewalks and parks make this area of Cornwall a great place to start a family or retire. With easy access to shopping, Cornwall’s only movie theatre, restaurants and grocery stores, Holy Cross is a section of town where homes become available almost all year round.
Homes in this region will vary from $100,000 to $250,000 with very few building lots available. A possible exception would be Lynwood Forest subdivision which has not yet begun being built, but that is slotted for future development.
