Living In Summerstown

Once a quiet collection of small cottages along the St Lawrence River, Summerstown is quickly becoming a favourite of people working in Cornwall looking for country, waterfront living. New subdivisions are being built in this community located directly east of Glen Walter and about 10km east of Cornwall.

Access to Summerstown can be found through Highway 2, which meanders along the river in slow easy fashion, as well as an interchange on Highway 401 for quick access to Cornwall and Montreal (Less than 100km) to the east.

Many of the older cottages are currently being purchased and renovated and a drive down Highway 2 makes it easy to see why people covet this area so much. Hundreds of cottages and homes line most of the available waterfront, and homes across the street are elevated by the river’s natural banks, giving everyone in the area beautiful water views.

There are a few new subdivisions being built in Summerstown to accommodate the growing demand to live in the area – with building lots also available that range from $30,000 for a subdivision lot to $700,000 for premier waterfront lots.

Although most of the Executive Homes are located in neighbouring Glen Walter, Summerstown is quickly becoming a region for developing larger waterfront homes
