Living InĀ Sunrise Acres

Sunrise Acres and Doc’s Place are subdivisions in Cornwall’s far East-end developed in the early 1980’s by Menard Homes. Featuring large single-family homes and semi-detached properties the area is a great place to raise a family and enjoy quiet city living.

In recent years the area has seen new developments in Doc’s Place with the addition of new streets and homes. This subdivision is poised to becoming one of Cornwall’s newest hotspots for families. There are still several building lots available in this neighbourhood, including phases of development that have not yet begun. Situated directly north of a small forest and south of the City’s industrial park, the developers have gone to a great effort to maintain walking paths and a small-town feel to the streets.

SUNRISE ACRES
A small subdivision of 150 homes or so, this area is a favourite of Cornwall’s francophone speaking professionals. Mature trees line the entire neigbourhood’s sidewalks, making it a lovely, safe place for an evening stroll or a jog. Homes in this area range from $200,000 to $350,000 for the most part and are very well maintained. A great place to grow up, Sunrise Acres is close to schools and has its own large park where kids can be kids and play basketball, use the play structure or simply enjoy a fenced, neighbourly area to fly a kite, play soccer or take in some shade.

This area of Cornwall is in high demand for young families looking to make roots in the city. Many of the original homeowners of this neighbourhood are beginning to retire and are looking for alternative, smaller homes, therefore the region often has homes listed for purchase.
